Micro-Winery

at Coes Farm

We make organic natural wine and cider in our micro-winery

On the east block in our vineyard we planted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier to make our Traditional Method sparkling wine. And on the west block we planted Pinot Gris and Sauvignac for our still wines.

In 2021 we made a completely natural Pinot Blanc using fruit from Crouch Valley in Essex. Hand-destemmed, left on skins for 24-hours, pressed by basket press and put in tank with no additions we then passed the wine to Gnina Balchin at In The Loop to make Wild Goose, our semi-sweet English Vermouth.

When we first moved to the farm there was an orchard of around 60 trees including Discovery, Russet and Bramley apples. In 2022 we planted an additional 175 cider varieties; Dabinett, Gilly, Three Counties and Harry Masters Jersey.

We will be releasing our first wines and cider in 2026. Whilst we are waiting for our own harvest, our winemaker has made three wines to showcase our wine style using organic fruit from nearby Ham Street vineyard.

Our wines are now available to order here
